woke up at 730 am

lesson at 8 am

gambled on my luck
grabbed my stuff
zoomed to school on bike
alas...

caught in traffic jam
arrived in school 825 am
was thinking whether should go to practical class
since late like 25 mins liao
then
OMG
touched pocket
realised I had left hp at home

later in the evening working
need my phone
so...

no choice
went home
kinda stupid I know
got my phone
then went back to school
then
called ccl
ask him where the tutorial was held at
then he said tutorial cancelled
woah
rushed back for nothing
hmmm

waited an hour
then went for nxt lesson
ended like in 10 mins
was another tutorial
lecturer said since 1st lesson
no point teaching
so...
went for lunch

1 pm
went for gems with ccl n jason
the module :
goal setting and decision making
interesting lecturer
very engaging
think I will like the module

the modules seem alright
manageable
so far

no time for lunch
went to man the tkd booth at the cca drive

had hands on session at workshop in the afternoon
worked up a sweat
but it was fun

it's been 10 yrs since I last touched any tools in a workshop
that was during sec 2 D & T lessons

TAURUS MAN

A quiet simple man who can do something unexpected to shock you. Taurus man mostly medium tall, strong with good health, good strong body. He does not likes to follow conformity, but always want to search for new ventures, new mystery. He will interest in a life of a millionaire as much as a life of an old man selling newspaper on a sidewalk vendor.

He like to search and analyze people and things. He will analyze his friends or his girl friend, and once the mystery is gone, he will search for new puzzle to solve. He can not easily understand thing, so he will gradually learning about you till he fills up all his questions.

He knows so many people ,but he has a few friends. He looks for quality friends than quantity friends. He will be close with some friends shortly and move on. He always feel lonely even surround by many people. He could create his own little world, and sometimes no one would understand him. He looks only for future and he thinks he lives for the future. He may wonder how many people think like he does, but he does not want to be like the others.

A man with a conflict personality. He is a cool, understanding, able to work well, and very artistic. Taurus man could be an artist. He could shock you as much as he is able to clam you down when you up set. He is a free spirit who likes venture, but when he wants to be alone, do not touch him but to let him be. He won't disappear from the crowds too long, he will be back.

He will give you straight forward opinion or comments, but will never advice what he thinks you should do. He does not like people to tell him what he should do too. He thinks each individual dreams and thoughts should be very private. He will use his brain not his body strength, so he will let other guys compete. He has a certain satisfactory in life and hate to force himself in competition. He may seems careless, but actually he is a thinker and a stubborn one.

He sees anythings in details and not easily trusted people till he thinks he knows them well. You can just smile and he will think why and what are you smiling about, and if you are pretending. Once he trust you and accept you as a friend, no one can says other wise to change that for he will not listen to gossip. He will be honest and sincere to his friends.

He hates lies, so he will not tell you lies. If he finds it is necessary to lie, he will find other ways not to tell you or avoid telling you anything. If he really has to lie, you will never be able to tell that he is lying. He can really keep secrets, so you will hardly know that he is a lonely soul.

If you want this kind of guy, you have to be an interesting person. He has to be curious about you. Hell for him is "No Freedom", so if he marry you then you should know it is the biggest decision in his life. Always be interesting, then you could have him beside you.

suddenly the 'monkeys' outside didn't seem so bad after all
everyone noticed my happiness I'm sure

really enjoyed my work
grinning from ear to ear

to top it off
had mac nut cheesecake after closing
stayed back tok kok with nesh and hongyan

last day at hotside today
manager decided I would be better off at waitside
so out I go
very very relieved =)

wun say I'm really unhappy
guess the kitchen might not be the best place for me
can't help feeling that the kitchen staff just have zero respect for me
treat me like worthless trainee lidat
evrything i do is scrutinised
no trust man T_T
wads the pt of going to work hotside when there is so much unhappiness
at first I tot I could slowly adapt
then I realised unlike waitside
hotside was a merciless place
and to think i tot i knew the pple in the kitchen
I DIDN"T......

another disastrous day at work
closing hotside
fyi it was only my 2nd time

as usual
the sat night crowd was gd
which meant many many orders
me being the noob
naturally just stood by the side
observed wad they did
and given simple job of doing spaghetti orders
cos they did not fully trust me with the orders yet
ok easy enough
quite enthu to experience the Sat night rush
when the great dinner rush began
I tried hard to remember my basic 'drills'
yet...
screwed up on the orders here n there
expected la
jialat liao
temperaments soared
XXXXX's face started to become a bit 'black' lor
and I was 'tsked' many times
for being incompetent

tsked = the annoying sound made when u suck your own tongue, usually to express irritation

xxxxx had to make that face
that totally-kills-all-your-morale-eats-all-your-motivation look
come on !!!
a little encouragement would be much welcomed lor =(
I was like really fuming liao
pek chek at myself for all the silly errors
then dulan at the treatment received
was like macham dumped at a corner
nobody in the kitchen cared much about my existence
and everyone just shut up
no loose chat
no laughter
silence
I swear you could smell the tension

when we were pretty much done with the closing
started to prepare staff orders
only during weekends then got food for staff la
IF U FUCKING DUN TRUST ME
do the orders yourself la
why pretend ask me to do to 'train' me
and still must kp me for wad ??!!

it's 1 am
watching the croc hunter special now on animal planet
in memory of the world's one and only crocodile hunter
the USA tour that Steve did
what a pity
no chance for new episodes already

a flood of emotions
deeply affected by his death
i feel that a real icon has been lost
he was the epitome of conservation
i learned a lot about animals from him
was hooked ever since i watched his 1st croc hunter episode
he was so real
so sincere
u could feel it
such was his charm
the last person you would imagine to die so young would be him
he wrestled huge crocs and survived
yet a small sting ray killed him
ironic indeed
good men die young

Steve Irwin was a wonderful man
a charismatic man
he loved animals
and educated millions around the world on the need to protect them
i was personally captivated by his undaunting spirit
and his passion for his work
really love his shows
so full of wit and enthusiasm
i remember watching many an episode of crocodile hunter on the telly
hearing his famous 'crikey'
and wondering how he manages to stare the crocs in the face with no fear at all
only respect for the huge beasts
i'm afraid those can only be memories now
just like many who have expressed their grief at the loss of an icon of conservationalism
the last thing i would have imagined was for him to have been killed by a sting-ray
a croc would be a more likely culprit
such is the fragility of life
you never know what happens tomorrow
so cherish what you have today

really look forward to the day when i can visit australia zoo
to see for myself what the great man had done for his beloved animals
may u rest in peace Steve
your spirit lives on
no doubt...
