the harsh reality of it all
just something I wanna get off my chest
BEING A NICE GUY DOESN'T PAY
whenever I get the opportunity to drive
often I will pick up my friend(s) and go out
then send them home
regardless of the distance
I don't feel that it's an inconvenience to me
purely because I feel it's only right to send my friends home
a responsibility to their safety
I don't expect anything in return
nor any benefits to come my way
but...
when it comes to my friends' turn to drive
(I have to stress this doesn't happen with every friend)
they will hesitate to offer me a ride home
or complain incessantly that it is out of the way to send me home(in a nice way la)
waste petrol
this and that and whatnot
mind you
those are words coming from close friends
it's not that I 'gian' or what
I can make my way home no big deal
I just feel it would be nice if they gave me a ride unconditionally
minus all the grumbling
cause I drove them home without any grumbling in my heart
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
reality is such
people are practical and calculative
they will not remember the good things you have done for them
but they will never forget the bad things you did to them
what you do willingly for others
others might not do willingly for you
